Welcome
The Bridge Family Resource was developed to educate families with an interest in providing care to a child in need. In addition, the Resource Center provides new bridge families help, advice and training provided by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. All of the resources are provided free of charge.

What Resources Are Available?
You are not alone when you become a Bridge Resource Family. The Resource Center provides new bridge families with help, advice and training and information about other services provided by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
Family Basics
This section contains basic information explaining what a Bridge Resource Family is, including requirements, descriptions and other helpful introductory information.
This includes our Frequently Asked Questions section as well as more information about becoming a Bridge Resource Family.
Support & Resources
This section contains resources for existing and prospective Bridge Resource Families with a special emphasis on providing support to those families. Information includes support groups, OKDHS policy and other information vital to a Bridge Resource Family.
Training
The Training section contains targeted training for Bridge Resource Families including Orientation training and a course “toolbox” of advice and support.
New training will be added in the future. If you have a suggestion for a course you’d like to see, tell us about it
Video
We’ve been filming videos for Bridge Families, as well as other OKDHS programs for many years. This area will quickly grow as we convert our existing VHS and DVD library to streaming media. All video will require Adobe Flash Player 9.0 or above. The most recent version of the Adobe Flash Player can be downloaded or installed directly (external link) from the Adobe website.
