No More Meltdowns Training

Bridge Resource Families are invited to attend No More Meltdowns, a 3-part series based on Dr. Jed Baker’s book. The training will help parents and caregivers to better understand and manage challenging behaviors and is offered in collaboration with Autism Canadian Valley and the OK Autism Network through the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Free child care is available. To make child care arrangements, please contact Trina Naff-Eaves at trina@autismoklahoma.org.

Part 1 will occur on February 7, 2012 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and will cover the topic of “Understanding Your Child and Yourself.”

Part 2 will occur on March 13, 2012 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and will cover the topic of “De-escalating the Meltdown and Understanding Behavior.”

Part 3 will occur on April 3, 2012 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and will cover the topic of “Creating a Plan to Prevent, Replace, and Respond to Your Child’s Behavior.”

Those interested in attending the 3-oart series will need to register at least 7 days prior to the course. To register, please fill out the registration form found on the OK Autism Network Website and email it to okautism@ouhsc.edu, fax it to 405-271-263, or mail it to 1200 N. Stonewall, Oklahoma City, OK 73117. The training location will be confirmed once registration is received.
